Position Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Eureka, California

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Type: Day Shift
Shift Hours: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM
Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday)
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Pay Rate:
- Local: Up to $70 – $80/hour
- Travel: Up to $70 – $85/hour
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is a skilled Radiation Therapist to deliver precise and high-quality radiation treatments to oncology patients in an acute care setting. The role involves ensuring accurate treatment delivery, maintaining patient safety, and providing compassionate care throughout the treatment process.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients
Position patients accurately using immobilization and beam-modifying devices
Operate radiation therapy equipment, including Elekta systems
Perform imaging procedures (CBCT, kV/MV) for treatment alignment and verification
Monitor patients during treatment sessions and respond to emergencies if needed
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic and Mosaiq systems
Collaborate with radiation oncologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and families regarding treatment procedures and expectations
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and infection control protocols
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience required
Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
ARRT (T) certification required
Current BLS certification required
Experience with external beam therapy techniques (IMRT, SRS, SBRT preferred)
Knowledge of patient positioning, imaging, and treatment verification
Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
Ability to work in a high-acuity oncology environment
