Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced RN Manager specializing in Mother-Baby/Postpartum care to lead a well-established unit within a reputable healthcare facility. This leadership role is ideal for a candidate with strong clinical expertise and proven supervisory experience, committed to delivering high-quality patient care and driving team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinical and administrative operations of the Mother/Baby unit
- Plan, organize, and manage unit activities to ensure efficient workflow
- Supervise nursing staff including Registered Nurses, CNAs, and unit support staff
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and patient safety standards
- Monitor patient care quality and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and enforce unit policies and procedures
- Support staff training, development, and performance management
- Collaborate with leadership, including Women’s Services, to enhance patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (State or Compact)
- BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
- NRP certification
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience in women’s services (acute care setting)
- At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong background in Mother-Baby and postpartum care
Additional Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience in Mother-Baby/Postpartum units
- Ability to lead and manage an experienced nursing team effectively
- Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
