Schedule: Rotating Shifts | Every Other Weekend | 2 of 3 Holidays Required
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff in a fast-paced Emergency Department. The role involves direct patient care, clinical procedures, and maintaining a safe, efficient care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care: admissions, vital signs, glucose checks, intake/output, hygiene, and comfort
- Perform clinical tasks: phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection and processing
- Support ED operations: patient transport, room/equipment preparation, assist in high-acuity cases (stroke, sepsis, cardiac)
- Respond to patient needs, assist with meals, and ensure timely communication with nursing staff
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and inventory of supplies
- Provide patient-centered care based on individual needs
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- PCT Program completion
- 1 year recent acute care experience
- BLS (AHA required)
- Phlebotomy & EKG Certifications (required)
