Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift Details:
- Shift: Evening (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
- Hours: 32 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday – Sunday (Every other weekend required)
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to deliver comprehensive behavioral health services. This role involves patient assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and ensure the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and collect relevant clinical data to develop individualized treatment plans
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, reporting any significant changes
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions based on patient needs
- Educate patients and involve family members in care planning when appropriate
- Coordinate care with healthcare providers, including primary care physicians and outpatient services
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure effective care delivery
- Manage case coordination, including insurance verification and service authorizations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical interventions and patient responses
- Support case management efforts to ensure continuity of care and positive outcomes
- Assist in supervising students and interns, as applicable
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards of care, and documentation requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Psychology, Human Services, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in behavioral health or human services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- Active state licensure required (LPC or LCSW)
Certifications & Requirements:
- AHA BLS Certification (required or must be obtained within 90 days)
- Must maintain active state licensure throughout the assignment
- Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the role
