Job Title: Mental Health Coordinator – Correctional Facility
Location: Las Animas, CO 81054
Duration: 8 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 5x8 | Day Shift
Position Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Mental Health Coordinator to provide clinical mental health services within a secure facility. The role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering non-medical mental health care, including assessments, treatment planning, counseling, and crisis intervention. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical expertise, sound judgment, and professionalism while delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments through record review and clinical interviews
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Provide ongoing therapeutic services, including counseling and behavioral interventions
- Deliver crisis intervention for acute mental health concerns
- Accurately document evaluations, treatment plans, and clinical interactions
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with regulations
- Apply evidence-based practices and psychological theories in treatment delivery
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans to ensure effective outcomes
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution
Certifications & Licensure:
- Active state licensure as one of the following:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Demonstrated ability to provide counseling and crisis intervention in a structured environment
- Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- High level of professionalism, ethical standards, and attention to confidentiality
