Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a long-term care assignment in Falmouth, MA. The LPN will provide direct resident care, supervise nursing assistants, administer medications and treatments, and ensure high-quality patient care in accordance with nursing standards and facility guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise nursing assistants and coordinate daily resident care activities
Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
Maintain accurate charting, documentation, and resident records
Monitor resident conditions and communicate updates to physicians and nursing leadership
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
Perform nursing procedures including catheterization, wound care, tube feedings, suctioning, and specimen collection
Take and document vital signs
Participate in resident care planning and orientation of residents/families
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
Provide patient and family education
Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Participate in facility inspections and surveys as required
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an approved LPN program or accredited nursing program
Active, unrestricted Massachusetts LPN License required
Current BLS / CPR / AED certification required
Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
Knowledge of long-term care regulations and nursing practices
Ability to supervise and work effectively with staff members
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical job requirements
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
