Title: CNA / Nurse Assistant – Long Term Care (LTC)
Location: Newark, New York
Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension)
Schedule: Rotating Shifts
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced CNA / Nurse Assistant to provide compassionate patient care in a Long-Term Care setting. The ideal candidate will assist residents with activities of daily living, monitor patient conditions, and support the healthcare team in delivering quality care.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and hygiene care
Assist with ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and mobility support
Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and temperature
Provide incontinence care and catheter care as needed
Assist with specimen collection and transportation
Monitor and report changes in patient condition
Perform skin care and pressure injury prevention measures
Assist with range of motion exercises and patient safety initiatives
Operate equipment including wheelchairs, transfer belts, Hoyer lifts, specialty beds, and stretchers
Follow infection control policies, isolation precautions, and PPE requirements
Maintain clean patient environments and stock supplies as needed
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of CNA / Nurse Assistant experience
Long-Term Care (LTC) experience preferred
Ability to perform direct patient care and mobility assistance
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Additional Information:
Average Daily Census: 42
First-Time Travelers Accepted
Orientation will be conducted during daytime hours during the first week
