Location: Edison, NJ 08820
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM / 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality care in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. The CNA will support patients with daily living activities while ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to care plans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, and incontinence care
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the RN
- Perform glucose finger sticks and assist with specimen collection (urine, stool, sputum)
- Track and document patient intake/output and daily weights
- Respond promptly to call lights and maintain a safe patient environment
- Assist as a patient sitter when required
- Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and nursing units
- Deliver patient-centered care considering age, culture, and specific impairments
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in LTC, Subacute Rehab (SAR), Extended Recovery Unit (ERU), or ventilator care
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification OR nursing student with completed fundamentals of nursing
- Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA)
