Job Title: Capital Sourcing Specialist
Location: Edison, NJ
Job Type: Contract / Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Capital Sourcing Specialist to support procurement and sourcing initiatives for capital equipment and services across a healthcare network. This role focuses on strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, cost savings, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support operational and capital project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and manage the procurement of capital equipment and related services
- Analyze spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities across suppliers and categories
- Source and negotiate with manufacturers and vendors for core products and services
- Review and leverage group purchasing organization (GPO) contracts for savings
- Partner with internal departments to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Prepare and present savings analyses and contract recommendations
- Develop and manage RFPs, bid summaries, and vendor performance evaluations
- Collaborate with project stakeholders (planners, architects, consultants) for construction and expansion projects
- Track equipment orders and maintain project timelines and documentation
- Work closely with Legal, Biomed, and Finance teams on contract execution and compliance
- Ensure contracts are properly executed and maintained in contract management systems
- Identify alternative products during supply disruptions, recalls, or shortages
- Manage surplus or obsolete equipment disposition through approved channels
- Support organizational initiatives and supply chain optimization efforts
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Experience with procurement systems (e.g., PeopleSoft Financials or similar tools)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Willingness to travel within the network as needed
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business or related field preferred)
- Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) certification required (or must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
