Job Summary:
MUSC is seeking an experienced API Developer & Application Analyst to support the Epic Research Team. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining integrations between Epic EHR and third-party research applications using HL7, FHIR, and API technologies. The candidate will support Epic Research workflows, secure healthcare data exchange, interface development, and clinical research system integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Epic, REDCap, and university application interfaces.
- Build and support HL7 and FHIR integrations and APIs.
- Configure and enhance Epic Research workflows and clinical functionality.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure secure data transmission and compliance.
- Integrate Epic with research platforms such as OnCore and SPARC.
- Troubleshoot, test, and support production interfaces and applications.
- Mentor team members and provide technical guidance.
Required Skills:
- Epic Bridges Certification
- Cloverleaf Interface Engine experience
- 7 years of Epic technical build and integration experience
- Strong HL7 and FHIR expertise
Preferred Skills:
- Epic Research experience
- Experience with REDCap, OnCore, and SPARC integrations
- Healthcare interoperability and EHR integration experience
