As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accountant to help manage our financial operations and provide visibility into business performance.
About the RoleThis role is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper or accountant who has worked with agencies or professional services businesses. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing billing and invoicing, and supporting leadership with forecasting and financial insights.
You’ll work closely with agency leadership to ensure our finances are clean, current, and useful for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate books in QuickBooks Online
- Manage client invoicing and agency billing, including retainers and variable fees
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and expense accounts
- Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet)
- Support financial forecasting and budgeting for the business
- Assist with revenue projections and capacity planning
- Coordinate with external CPA for tax filings and year-end close
- Improve and document financial processes as the agency scales
- 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong expertise in QuickBooks Online
- Experience working with agencies, consultancies, or service-based businesses
- Solid understanding of agency billing models (monthly retainers, variable fees, project-based work)
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and reliability
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Background in marketing, advertising, or e-commerce agencies
- Experience with multi-entity or multi-client revenue tracking
- Familiarity with cash-flow planning for growing businesses
- CPA, EA, or bookkeeping certification (not required)
- Part-time role (estimated 10–20 hours per week)
