Position Summary
The Concrete Specialist is responsible for performing hands-on concrete work including placement, finishing, and repair. This role requires skill in concrete techniques, precision in execution, and the ability to work effectively under direction while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, edging, jointing, and decorative surface work.
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment including trowels, rakes, screeds, saws, and finishing machines.
- Work with precision to ensure slopes, percentages, and measurements are accurate.
- Assist in preparation of work areas, formwork, and cleanup of job sites.
- Follow instructions from foremen, superintendents, and project leaders.
- Support curing and finishing processes to meet project specifications.
- Maintain safe working practices and participate in daily safety meetings.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the concrete trade preferred.
- Able to work 10-hour days in physically demanding conditions.
- Familiarity with techniques for surface finishing, edging, and jointing.
- Solid understanding of slopes and grade percentages.
- Ability to safely and effectively operate hand and power tools used in concrete work.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a federal background check required.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to travel to customer sites in other states and countries.
