Overview:
The Tax Partner will serve as a senior leader within the firm’s Long Island office, overseeing a broad portfolio of tax clients across industries including privately held businesses, private equity-backed companies, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals. This role requires a strong foundation in partnership, corporate, and individual taxation, combined with leadership and business development skills to drive practice growth in the Long Island market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and expand the tax practice on Long Island, with accountability for client relationships, technical excellence, and business development.
- Provide strategic tax planning, compliance, and advisory services across a wide range of industries and entity types (corporations, partnerships, S-corps, and individuals).
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners and executives on tax structuring, succession planning, and transactional matters.
- Oversee preparation and review of complex tax returns for businesses, investment entities, and individuals.
- Collaborate with audit and advisory partners to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Mentor and develop tax professionals, fostering technical expertise and exceptional client service.
- Represent the firm in the Long Island business community through networking, associations, and thought leadership.
Qualifications:
- CPA license required; JD/LLM or advanced tax degree a plus.
- 12 years of progressive tax experience across corporations, partnerships, and individual taxation.
- Proven success serving a broad client base, including privately held and family-owned businesses.
- Demonstrated business development skills and a track record of expanding client relationships.
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
