Position Summary
The IT Administrator is responsible for providing technical support and maintaining IT systems, hardware, software, and mobile devices across TranSouth's operations. This role ensures users are properly set up and supported, manages device and application access, and contributes to the organization's growing use of automation and AI-driven tools to improve operational efficiency. Candidates with demonstrated experience or interest in applied AI and process automation are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Hardware & Software Support: Maintain and troubleshoot workstations, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices. Provide first-level technical support to staff for hardware and software issues.
- User Setup & Access Management: Manage user onboarding and offboarding including account creation, device configuration, and access provisioning across platforms such as Microsoft 365, dispatch systems, and fleet management tools.
- Mobile Device Management (MDM): Manage MDM systems to ensure proper configuration, security, and performance of all mobile devices across the organization.
- VOIP & Communications: Maintain and support VOIP phone systems including setup, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Automation & AI Integration: Support and contribute to internal automation projects and AI tool implementation. Assist in identifying opportunities to leverage technology to improve workflows, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- IT Asset Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory of all IT assets; assist with documentation, tracking, and lifecycle management.
- Security & Compliance: Assist with cybersecurity practices, data backup, and recovery initiatives. Ensure compliance with company IT policies and data security standards.
- General Support: Respond to support requests promptly, document issues and resolutions, and escalate complex issues to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and standard hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience with MDM systems and user account management.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in AI tools, automation platforms, or process improvement technology strongly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
