Physical Demands
Work is primarily sedentary; however, attending meetings or training requires walking or driving to and from various buildings on a routine basis. Occasionally, may be required to lift office supplies and materials weighing up to 20 pounds, and arranging furniture to accommodate a training or meeting space; requiring some physical ability.
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in a well-lit, ventilated, and heated office/classroom environment. Occasionally, work is performed in shipboard or waterfront environments which requires the incumbent to comply with safety standards for the specific work environment, including wearing safety equipment, safety shoes, hardhat, eye and hearing protection, etc.
Qualifications:
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Applying program management methods and techniques, and implementing prevention programs and related program management activities for the installation and tenant commands to promote healthy climates and to ensure the delivery of prevention activities and approaches designed to foster individual, group, and organizational health and performance to reduce and prevent problematic/destructive behaviors, such as: suicide, sexual harassment, sexual assault, substance misuse, family and interpersonal violence, workplace violence, and military equal opportunity, etc; 2. Advising installation, Command and unit leaders on prevention action plans and initiatives, and developing and implementing prevention assessments and evaluations to ensure leaders have prevention knowledge, skills and abilities to address gaps and promote the well-being of team members, teams, leaders, and the larger organization; AND 3. Consolidating and analyzing data from command climate reports, unit status reports, installation data and other sources to identify critical prevention needs and develop and provide recommendations for addressing such needs. **NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:
