The Role
As our Staff Development and infection Prevention Coordinator, you are the architect of excellence. You will bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and clinical heart, ensuring our team is empowered with the knowledge they need to provide world-class resident care in our skilled nursing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
● Training Leadership: Design and lead orientation for new hires and ongoing refresher training for all staff.
● Assessment & Strategy: Conduct annual facility assessments to identify skill gaps and prioritize educational needs.
● Compliance & Excellence: Work with the Compliance Officer to ensure all training meets state and federal regulatory standards.
● Curriculum Development: Review and update educational content to reflect the latest "best practices" in long-term care.
● Mentorship: Collaborate with department managers to evaluate staff competencies and provide pathways for continuing education credits.
Schedule & Environment
● Shift: Monday to Friday.
● On-Call: Rotating on-call coverage approximately every 5–6 weeks.

Qualifications:Qualifications
● Education: Degree from an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN required).
● Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an LPN or RN and in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
● Expertise: Deep knowledge of long-term care regulations and a passion for teaching others.
● License: Must hold a valid, unencumbered Washington State nursing license.
● Integrity: Eligible to participate in federally funded healthcare programs.
