Qualifications

For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying modern weight handling theories, principles, methods, and procedures applicable to the operation and maintenance of a comprehensive range of weight handling equipment (WHE) and associated rigging gear; 2) Handling major issues, program goals and objectives, work processes, and administrative operations of a weight handling program; 3) Applying understanding of manufacturer's crane load capacity charts, load indicators, and complex lift plans as defined in the NAVFAC P-307; 4) Utilizing modern computer hardware and software to communicate and produce memos, letters, and reports related to WHE matters; 5) Identifying the effect of program changes caused by technology, regulations, laws, standards, codes, procedures, and funding while developing new programs and modifying existing programs in order to address changing customer and technical requirements, and aggressively seeks ways to improve customer service and program efficiency. For the GS-9: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Has basic knowledge of the characteristics, properties, uses, and interrelationships of assigned components, assemblies and/or sub-assemblies relating to Weight handling Equipment (WHE); 2) Has knowledge of codes, regulations, and standards relating to WHE; 3) Utilizing modern computer hardware and software to communicate and produce memos, letters, and reports; 4) Has some understanding of the effect of program changes caused by technology, regulations, laws, standards, codes, procedures, and funding.
