Summary
You will serve as an Engineering Technician (Drafting) in the Facilities ENG & ACQ Division of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties
You will provide advice, solutions and assistance to the design and/or construction lead engineer on technical issues requiring knowledge of engineering practices and construction methods.You will assist in the preparation of designs, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide range of shore facility projects.You will review project plans, specifications, and submittals prior to contract award and during execution.You will present drawings in a clear, concise manner utilizing Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software and techniques.You will operate and manage the physical and electronic drawing vault for the PWD regional AOR.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) providing engineering and design services in support of facility and utility requirement plans for the region, 2) preparing designs, specifications and cost estimates for a wide range of shore facility projects. 3) operating and managing physical and electronic drawing vault. 4) providing technical specifications and detailed labor and material cost estimates for use in obtaining project funding and for bid evaluation.
