What are the responsibilities and job description for the EDUCATION SPECIALIST (HUMAN RESEARCH PROTECTION PROGRAM) position at NAVAL ACADEMY?
You will serve as an Education Specialist (HRPP Coordinator) in the Provost, Office of Research and Innovation at the U.S. Naval Accademy.
1) Managing an overall Human Research Protection Program in an academic and/or research environment;
2) Providing comprehensive guidance to leadership, investigators, faculty, staff, and students on human subject research program requirements, risks, and procedures;
3) Handling the regulatory compliance, coordination and administrative oversight of a Human Research Protection program in an academic and/or research environment; and
4) Providing guidance/working with an Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Managing an overall Human Research Protection Program in an academic and/or research environment;
2) Providing comprehensive guidance to leadership, investigators, faculty, staff, and students on human subject research program requirements, risks, and procedures;
