Job Title: Database Engineer
Location: Maryland
Qualifications
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, C#) is preferred.
- Candidates should possess skills in Database Development and Database Design to build scalable, reliable data structures and solutions.
- Candidates should possess skills in Database Administration to manage performance, security, backups, and monitoring of database environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Analytical Skills to integrate data from multiple sources and support reporting and analytics.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL technologies is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple tasks, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with data warehousing, cloud database services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and version control tools is an advantage.
