Role Description
This is a full-time role as a Carrier Relations Specialist at Nav Logistics Inc. The Carrier Relations Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining strong relationships with carriers, coordinating communication and negotiations, and ensuring the smooth execution of transportation operations.The role will involve on-site work at our Houston, TX location.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in sales and customer relationship management
- Knowledge of telecommunications systems and technologies
- Experience in logistics management and transportation operations
- Proven ability to build and maintain carrier relationships
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in logistics management software and tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Carrier Representative in freight brokerage
- Must be proficient in using DAT, Truckstop, Load Match, and various load boards, as well as TMS systems
- Must know how to identify and secure high-quality carriers and actively manage carrier performance
- Applicants without strong knowledge of carrier sourcing and logistics software should not apply
- Experience with TL and LTL modes, with strong knowledge of Flatbed, Dry Van, Reefer, and Drayage (Container) operations
- Must reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Company will conduct background checks and drug testing
- Applicants not currently residing in the United States should not apply
