QUALITY INSPECTOR:

- Schedules: 1st Shift Hours – Monday to Friday (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM), 2nd Shift Hours – Monday to Thursday (1:00 PM – 11:00 PM).
- Pay Range: $23.00-$33.00

Job Summary:
- Conduct in-process and final quality inspections to verify product conformance
- Utilize inspection gauges (micrometer, caliper, etc.) for dimensional verification
- Perform dimensional inspections and reports on internal and external products
- Analyze and prepare certification and documentation
- Maintain traceability throughout the manufacturing process
- Prepare reports for management
- Ability to layout detailed castings
- Prioritize to align with production schedules and delivery timelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs
- Identify and document internal and external non-conformances
- Comply with Mico Precision QMS policies, manuals, procedures and standards
- Work independently and collaboratively to identify root causes and resolve quality issues
- Adhere to proper PPE usage and maintain a safe work environment
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and contribute actively to a team-oriented culture
Job Qualifications: US Citizenship is required in accordance with DoD requirements.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Technical high school diploma or Certificate program completion preferred.
Experience:
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints and GD&T
- Experience with Navy specifications
- Ability to navigate and understand Electric Boat Standard Clauses
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Experience with PC DMIS software
- Experience with bridge Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) system
- Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality standards
- Forklift operation certification is a plus
- NDT methods – MT,PT,RT,UT,VT experience is preferred
Physical & Mental:
General: Position requires ability to concentrate on details with occasional interruption and attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time. Ability to understand theories behind related concepts and to remember multiple tasks given to self and others over periods of time; ability to prioritize given shifting priorities; ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
Environmental & Working Conditions:
Industrial shop setting. Dust, dirt, metal debris from manufacturing will be encountered. Moderate levels of noise will be encountered.
