Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, for a Crewing Agent. The Crewing Agent will be responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of yacht crew members to meet the staffing needs of clients. Responsibilities include reviewing applications, conducting interviews, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with maritime and labor regulations, and coordinating with captains and yacht owners. The role also involves facilitating crew training, addressing operational issues, and fostering professional relationships to ensure successful placements.
Qualifications
- Recruitment and talent acquisition skills, including experience with sourcing, interviewing, and hiring qualified personnel
- Knowledge of maritime regulations, yacht crew qualifications, and industry standards
- Organizational and administrative skills, including multitasking, database management, and record-keeping
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and crew candidates
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to handle crew-related challenges and ensure high-quality service
- Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with CRM systems (preferred)
- Familiarity with the yachting industry and operations is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is advantageous
- Fluency in English; additional language proficiency is highly desirable
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the demands of a dynamic, fast-paced environment
