Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on blueprints, specifications, and site conditions.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create comprehensive cost analyses.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather relevant data for estimating purposes.
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
- Review contracts and negotiate terms with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing.
- Monitor project budgets and costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to estimates.
- Provide support in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for potential clients.
Skills
- Proficient in construction estimating software, particularly Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
