Senior Estimator

Position Overview
VP of construction emailed me today saying that they have a new need for an estimator with 5 years DOT experience, and their comp package is excellent:

• $140-$180k salary
• 3 weeks of PTO to start

The Civil Estimator will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase by providing accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects.  This is a well established civil shop that has a track record of retaining good employees.  Apply today!

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze bids and perform bid comparisons to support the selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure that estimates reflect project scope and requirements.
• Utilize software tools such as HCSS Heavybid and Primavera for scheduling and cost estimation.
• Conduct on-site evaluations and assessments to gather relevant data for accurate estimating.
• Communicate with stakeholders to clarify project specifications and requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards throughout the estimating process.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in estimating within the civil construction industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• HeavyBid (HCSS) experience
• MS Office experience
• AGTEK-Take off experience
• Primavera experience
• Experience with Design-Build project delivery methods is a plus
