VP, Repo and Risk Transformation, US Private Financing
Purpose of Role:
As a key member of the US Repo & Risk Transformation team within US Private Financing, the holder of the role will help to drive the growth of the risk transformation business in the US focusing on credit solutions for banks, insurers and funds
The position will be based in Stamford, CT
What does this role holder do?
Originate and structure credit solutions for banks, insurers and funds in the US across a variety of financing and capital relief products
Product focus on financial guarantees, CDS, insurance wrapped financing and single asset securitisation/repackaging
Develop trade ideas, marketing materials and termsheets for deal pitching, origination and distribution.
Lead transaction management workflows including client onboarding, documentation negotiation, risk analysis, and internal approval processes
Build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders including colleagues in the UK
Support and maintain a robust risk control environment
Undertake periodic business-related projects to assist in the analysis and development of the business
Support the wider Repo & Risk Transformation team where required to deliver the objectives of the business
What are the skills, knowledge and experience needed to do the role?
The successful candidate will have credit structuring or risk management experience in the US on the sell side or buy side or have gained experience at the intersection of banking and insurance markets at a broker or underwriter.
Skills Required
4-6 years’ experience in credit structuring or risk management on the structured credit desk of a bank, fund or insurer/insurance broker.
Knowledge of ISDA/CDS, GMSLA/MSLA, GMRA/MRA master agreements, financial guarantees, credit insurance, lending agreements, repack vehicles etc
Client facing with experience engaging with banks, insurers and fund clients in the US
In depth knowledge of US bank and insurer capital rules is a plus
Strong financial modelling skills
Strong communication skills; excellent writing and presentation skills
Solid understanding of the macro-economic and financial influences affecting the FIG sector
High proficiency in MS Office suite – Excel and PowerPoint in particular
Must possess FINRA Series 7 and 63 licences, or be willing to obtain them upon hiring
The expected base annual salary range for this position is $175,000 - $250,000 at the start of employment. This is not a guarantee of compensation. The exact compensation is determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on skills, experience, training licensure, certifications and location. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus; medical, dental, and vision plans; life and disability insurance; employee wellness programs; retirement and savings plan with potential employer contributions; generous paid time off policy, parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
Salary : $175,000 - $250,000
