Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on HR Business Partner for North America to join our office in Schaumburg, Illinois. You will act as a Business Partner and coach to leadership while managing day-to-day HR operations to ensure they align with Natus Sensory’s organizational goals. As a part of a global HR Business Partner Team you will be responsible for USA and Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- U.S. Labor Law & Compliance: Ensure all people practices comply with federal and state regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC). Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving laws, including pay transparency and AI-related employment rules.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders and managers to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business efficiency and workforce planning.
- Employee Relations & Compliance: Manage complex employee relations issues, providing guidance on performance management and corrective actions.
- Communication & Influence: Act as a primary point of contact for employees at all levels, fostering an environment of transparency and open communication.
- Talent Management: Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and succession planning for critical roles within your assigned business units.
- Organizational Development: Lead initiatives related to employee engagement, culture building, and professional development.
- Policy & Process: Assist in the development, interpretation, and implementation of HR policies and procedures across the organization.
- Experience: 7 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably as an HR Business Partner in a mid-sized company.
- Legal Expertise: Strong, up-to-date knowledge of US labor and employment laws.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders from entry-level staff to executive leadership.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
