What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Budtender - PT position at Natures Medicine - Salida?

We’re looking for a Budtender who knows their stuff, lives for great service, and brings good energy to every shift. You’ll be the go-to guide for our guests, from products and effects to dosing, titration, consumption methods, quality, and what’s trending in the industry. Whatever walks through the door, your mission is simple: make every customer’s visit awesome. You own your results, keep guests happy, stay sharp on product knowledge, and know Colorado’s state and local rules inside and out.
You’ll report to the General Manager, and to the Lead Budtender whenever the GM is off the floor.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Giving guests top-notch service and answering their questions in store, over the phone, and online (as needed)
- Opening up and running the shop solo when it’s your show
- Following all company policies, SOPS and MED rules and regulations, no shortcuts
- Staying in the know on every product and brand on our shelves
- Keeping the store looking fresh through stocking, cleaning, and sanitizing
- Ringing up sales accurately in the POS, following company policies and MED rules
- Keeping inventory on point with accurate sales, product handling, and waste tracking
- Handling cash with care and accuracy
- Teaming up with the crew to make sure every guest leaves happy and we hit our sales goals and timelines
- Staying on your feet for 8–10 hour shifts (comfy shoes recommended)
- Sticking to the break and lunch schedule so the floor is always covered
- Following our personal hygiene policy
- Jumping in on whatever else comes up
What You Bring
- 2 years of retail experience is a big plus
- Clear written and verbal communication in English
- Cash handling experience preferred, plus solid basic math for customer transactions
- Availability and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays
- A Colorado MED badge, or the ability to get one
- Reliability: you show up, and you show up on time
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs now and then
