Landscape Construction Supervisor

Number of Employees This Position Supervises: Up to 10

Primary Purpose of Position

· Collaborating with the design team and project management team.

· Managing the build crews on your assigned projects.

· Ensuring the work performed is on time, within scope and on budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Overseeing all stages of landscape construction projects, from design to completion.

· Planning and scheduling project timelines, and adjusting as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.

· Managing and supervising the work of construction teams, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule and to the necessary standard.

· Inspecting and ensuring the quality of workmanship and materials.

· Collaborating with landscape architects, contractors, and other professionals involved in the project.

· Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and resolving any safety concerns that arise

· Communicating with clients, keeping them informed of progress and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

· Estimating costs and controlling project expenses.

· Ordering and managing the use of equipment, materials, and plants.

· Managing any issues or complications that arise, including weather delays, budget overruns, or disputes among staff.

Specialized knowledge or skill required to perform the essential functions of this position:

· Bilingual in Spanish and English

· Proven experience as a Landscape Construction Supervisor or similar role.

· In-depth knowledge of residential landscape construction materials, building methods, and techniques

· Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, details, specifications, and project documents.

· Exceptional communication skills.

· Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

· Ability to work alongside the work crew completing tasks.

· General plumbing, irrigation, electrical and carpentry skills are a plus.

· Hardscape installation knowledge is a plus

· Low voltage lighting experience is also a plus.

· Team oriented work ethic is a must.

Job’s normal work environment:

· Work environment involves slight physical risks that require following basic safety precautions (wearing PPE).

· Work environment is outdoors

· Work environment may be loud, dusty and around/using mechanized equipment.

Type of equipment typically used in this job:

· Standard office equipment (telephone, copier, fax, personal computer and so on).

· Equipment with relatively simple operating procedures (hand tools).

· Equipment with involved operating procedures (power tools & mechanized equipment).

· Automobiles and trucks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
