🌟 We’re Hiring!Â
We are currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent position for a Quality Control Lead in our Quality Control Department at our Laredo, TX facility.
What You'll Do (Job Specific Tasks):
- Assign daily work priorities and inspection coverage for QC team members.
- Monitor inbound and outbound product quality to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Provides weekly reports to Quality Control Manager for each QC employee on any concerns/issues.
- Assist in identifying and escalating loads requiring USDA or FDA holds.
- Maintain clerical records, inspection logs, inspection reports.
- Communicate quality concerns to Quality Control leadership and warehouse teams.
- Support product disposition decisions.
- Investigate defects, damages, temperature issues, and customer complaints.
- Maintain strong floor presence to support daily quality operations.
- Conducts daily meetings with QC Team to communicate departmental/company matters.Â
- Maintains daily contact with Quality Control Manager and other departments such as Production and Commodities to address and follow up with operational issues/concerns.
- Ensures daily cleaning of equipment and sign offs are completed. Ensures equipment is working properly and address any equipment concerns to Quality Control Manager/Supervisor.
- Communicates regularly with the team to ensure they are aware and follow their responsibilities and all company policies and procedures.Â
- Provides hands-on training and follow up to new hires; however, training, development and coaching occurs regularly throughout the department.Â
- Participates in Employee Relations and works collaboratively with Quality Manager for progressive discipline, coaching/discussions, performance reviews and investigations.Â
- Leads their team to improve performance and standards of quality through motivation and encouragement.Â
- Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures.

What You Bring (Qualifications):
- 1-2 years of Quality Control experience.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, delegate, provide direction to staff and resolve issues fairly
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software programs(NAV, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft teams, WMS)Â
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast environment by multitasking and prioritizing work while being attentive to details and quality.
- Ability to embrace and adapt to the rapid growth, innovation, and development of the company.
- Ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action as needed.Â
- Ability to address difficult situations confidentiality, professionally and respectfully.Â
- Safety Shoes.Â
- After hours communication as needed/necessary.
What To Expect (Working Conditions & Physical Requirements):Â
- Fast paced warehouse environment where temperatures vary from cooler to temperature-controlled areas.Â
- Working with a wide array of people/cultures in a team setting. These include offshore workers, locals, contractors and vendors, etc.Â
- There may be an occasional need for some heavy lifting (when needed).
- Balance between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the warehouse.Â
- Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
