Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chevy Chase, MD, for a Preschool Director. The Preschool Director will oversee the daily operations of the nature-based early childhood education program. This includes leading curriculum development, managing staff, maintaining compliance with licensing and safety standards, and fostering a nurturing and enriching learning environment. The Preschool Director will also handle budgeting, enrollment, and ensure program goals align with Nature Forward’s mission of promoting environmental education.
Qualifications
- Experience in Early Childhood Education, Kindergarten, and Curriculum Development
- Strong background in Education and fostering developmental learning
- Skills in Budgeting and program administration
- Familiarity with nature-based education or environmental learning
- Leadership experience managing staff and educational programs
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Management, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
- Knowledge of licensing requirements and preschool operational standards
