Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of surfaces, floors, carpets, and upholstery using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards across all areas
- Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, kitchens, and other communal spaces by dusting, disinfecting, and sanitizing surfaces
- Use manual handling techniques to transport cleaning supplies and waste materials efficiently
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning requirements and provide excellent customer service
- Manage time efficiently to complete daily cleaning schedules within designated timeframes
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment to maximize effectiveness and safety
- Follow health and safety guidelines related to janitorial work, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, floor care techniques, and surface cleaning methods
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents and disinfectants along with safe handling practices
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout shifts
- Customer service orientation with clear communication skills for client interactions
- Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior spaces or outdoor fixtures
- Experience in housekeeping management or residential housekeeping is advantageous
