Position: Senior Director, Finance and Operations
Location: Augusta, Maine – hybrid, on-site and remote
Classification: Full-time, Regular, Exempt
Schedule: 40 hours/week; Monday – Friday

Role Summary:
As Senior Director of Finance & Operations, you will serve as a key member of NRCM’s senior leadership team. This role is responsible for ensuring the financial strength, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance of NRCM and its related Action Fund. Your leadership will guide financial planning, budgeting, nonprofit administration, and facilities oversight, creating the infrastructure that enables our mission to thrive.
You will supervise the Operations team, manage the organization’s financial systems, support long range planning, and ensure alignment with NRCM’s strategic goals. This position is onsite at our Augusta headquarters, with flexibility to work remotely at times.

Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Administration
·      Oversee the financial management of NRCM, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly closings.
·      Supervise and support the staff accountant and financial contractors.
·      Conduct financial reporting and analysis for department heads, program leaders, and the Board.
·      Manage investment relationships and coordinate with the Board Finance Committee.
·      Review and support grant and contract budgets.
·      Ensure compliance with nonprofit tax filings and solicitation licenses.
Operations & Facilities
·      Lead all operational aspects including building and IT systems.
·      Supervise the Administration & Operations Associate and IT Manager.
·      Maintain and enhance NRCM’s physical and digital infrastructure.
·      Ensure office safety, compliance, and readiness during emergencies.
·      Support implementation of strategic plans in partnership with leadership.

Qualifications:
·      Minimum 5 years of high level financial management and supervisory experience.
·      Strong financial skills including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
·      Experience in nonprofit finance and administration is preferred.
·      Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or Financial Edge is a plus.
·      Effective team leadership and collaborative planning skills.
·      Strong communication skills and proficiency with financial systems and software.
·      Experience with human resources, DEIJ initiatives, and labor relations is helpful.
·      Ability to make sound decisions and manage operations during emergencies.

·      Ability to perform routine office tasks and lift up to 10 lbs.
·      Work is based in person at NRCM’s Augusta office.
·      Typical schedule is weekdays during standard business hours.
