Position Title: House Manager

Job Description:

Provides on-site monitoring of the facility and the residents for Warrior Spirit. Maintain a safe atmosphere and ensure residents are treated with respect and kindness.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee self-administration of medications.
• Maintain presence in the transition area with daily meetings.
• Monitor client’s status and assure their safety.
• Ensure clients follow policies and procedures.
• Provide crisis intervention, as needed.
• Conduct safety checks of the house and grounds with periodic rounds. Conduct the monthly, quarterly and annual safety inspections, fire drills, earthquake drills, etc.
• Attend all mandatory staff meetings
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment within and around the house.
• Conduct safety checks on the Warrior Spirit vehicles and ensure that oil changes and vehicle needs are taken care of.
• Assist in client intake procedures
• Presence in the WS groups
• Dispense medications at appropriate medication times.
• Transportation of clients
• Record new client medication in Medication Book
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

• Good interpersonal skills in working as part of a team and in maintaining cooperative relationships with agency, staff, and outside community resources
• The ability to respond appropriately in a crisis.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
• Education, Training and/or Experience * Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be able to be proficient in computer skills.
• Must be First Aid and CPR certified within 90 days of employment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Obtain Peer Support Specialist Certification within 6 months of employment, if not previously obtained.
