Job Summary

Basic Function: The Office Specialist III, supervised by the Coordinator III overseeing District athletics and the Coordinator III overseeing the Career Technical Education (CTE) program, will be to support the District athletics program in grades 4-12 and the CTE program through a variety of technical and clerical support from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Requirements / Qualifications

Essential Job Functions (may include, but not limited to the following) Processes all paperwork within the athletic and CTE budget: creates purchase orders, tracks and monitors the ordering supplies and athletic equipment/uniforms for each school in the district. Maintains a district athletic calendar with sports schedules. Processes invoices for transportation and sports officials. Helps to gather information and documents for Board Communications and Board Agenda items. Tracks the hiring status of coaches and mandated training completion. Coordinates regular District Athletic Director & CTE meetings. Assists with coordination of athletic event(s) as needed. Helps with the promotion of NUSD Athletics through social media (taking pictures/promotions/etc). Helps maintain the Athletics portion of the website(s) for each school. Sends out surveys and compiles data as needed. Helps coordinate CTE Field Trips.

Equivalent to graduation from high school is required plus additional or college courses in business or a related field is strongly preferred. A minimum of two years of general clerical experience requiring frequent public contact is desired. Experience at the Office Assistant I and II level is preferred. Proficiency in records and data management to comply with District, State and Federal regulations, Excel, Google Docs, Data, experience with parent engagement and public relations. Bilingual desired, but not required.
