What are the responsibilities and job description for the Latin America Real Assets and Global Trade Syndicator position at Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking?
Natixis is seeking a syndication professional to work within the Real Assets and Global Trade Syndication Americas with a focus on Latin America. He or She will manage the syndication / distribution of Latin America originated loans on real assets and global trade. Key responsibility is to manage underwriting risk, develop and expand the Latin America distribution activities to promote the asset light strategy of the bank. This is a client facing role within a highly active team with recognized top tier league table ranking.
- Work with Latin America Origination teams to pitch real assets and global trade syndicated opportunities including summarizing and providing loan market conditions for the region. Develop distribution strategy and assess marketability. Determine and recommend pricing strategies.
- Primary responsibility for managing underwriting exposure and distribution strategy on Latam deals executed.
- Lead the execution of mandated lead-arranged transactions by preparing (with the help of junior staff) organization books, drafting marketing materials (Confidential Information Memorandums, lender presentations, and teasers), organizing and managing bank meetings, participating in and tracking lender interaction and diligence, and managing the deal closing process
- Develop and maintain bank and institutional lender relationships for distribution of Latin America originated syndicated deals in real assets (emphasis on infra)
- Work with global syndicate and sales teams to target investors as widely as possible
- Support the review of financing documents, including commitment letters, fee letters, engagement letters, and credit agreements relevant to syndications
- Review and maintain up to date (with the help of junior staff) market comparables database and Latin America lender universe
- Anticipate any breach of derisking deadline and submit proposal to address these situations.
- Ensure accuracy of data in Natixis systems and reports Supervise development and maintenance of access to relevant data based on investor conversations, executed deals, rating agency criteria and new issue bond offerings
Qualifications
- 12-15 years of experience in Latin America loan distribution focused on real assets (infrastructure, corporate, global trade) in a banking environment and/or alternatively, in origination/structuring capacity. Alternatively, experience in loan capital markets at a sponsor platform.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience managing / mitigating Latin America deal underwriting risk through multiple distribution strategies
- Experience in working with multiple banks / institutional investors in Latin America market with an existing contact network
- Effective communication skills

The salary range for this position will be between $225,000 - $275,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance
