Full Job Description:

Native Plant Scapes is seeking a Project Manager & Job Site Coordinator to support our growing native plant landscape design and installation company. This position combines project management, job site coordination, client communication, crew coordination, and field support for residential and commercial landscape projects. Native Plant Scapes is a full-service landscape design and installation company specializing in the use of native plants. Our work includes native garden installations in a variety of settings and site conditions. This role is ideal for someone with experience or interest in landscape architecture, horticulture, native plant species, landscape design, sales, project management, and / or job site coordination. The selected candidate will help ensure that projects are organized, professionally coordinated, and completed in alignment with the approved design, project scope, client expectations, and Native Plant Scapes’ standards. This position may be structured as either a seasonal role or a flexible part-time hourly role, depending on the candidate’s availability and the company’s project schedule.

Native Plant Scapes is a conservation-focused landscape design and installation company that helps homeowners and property owners create beautiful, functional, and environmentally responsible landscapes using native plants.

Our work is centered on the belief that landscaping can do more than improve curb appeal. Native plant landscapes can support pollinators, birds, and other wildlife, reduce long-term maintenance, improve stormwater management, and help restore ecological value to residential and commercial properties.

Native Plant Scapes offers services including design sketches, 2D to-scale drawings, 3D renderings, native garden installation (including pollinator gardens and conservation landscapes) native plant sourcing, and select hardscape-related services.

Responsibilities:

• The Project Manager & Job Site Coordinator will assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of Native Plant Scapes projects. Responsibilities may include:
• Coordinating with company leadership regarding upcoming projects, project schedules, materials, client needs, and installation logistics.
• Assisting with project planning before installation begins, including reviewing scope of work, design details, materials, plants, and crew needs.
• Visiting job sites as needed to conduct consultations, monitor progress, support field coordination, and communicate updates to the internal team.
• Serving as a point of coordination between company leadership, clients, subcontractors, installation crews, vendors, and project partners.
• Helping ensure that plants, materials, tools, and supplies are organized and available for scheduled project work.
• Assisting with job site setup, plant placement coordination, site notes, project documentation, photos, and progress tracking.
• Communicating professionally with clients when needed regarding scheduling, site access, project updates, and installation logistics.
• Helping ensure that installation work follows the approved design, proposal scope, company standards, and client expectations.
• Identifying job site issues, logistical concerns, or project changes and communicating them to the appropriate team members.
• Supporting client communication, post-installation follow-up, and project closeout coordination.
• Assisting with general project management and administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

• Preferred candidates will have 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Landscape architecture
• Horticulture
• Native plant species
• Ecological landscaping
• Landscape design
• Landscape installation
• Project management
• Job site coordination
• Sales or client-facing communication
• Vendor, subcontractor, or crew coordination
• Nursery, garden center, or plant-related work
• Environmental planning, conservation, or restoration work

Preferred Experience:

• The following experience is preferred but not required:
• Familiarity with native plants of the Mid-Atlantic region
• Experience reading landscape plans, planting plans, or design documents
• Experience working with landscape installation crews
• Experience coordinating materials, plants, or subcontractors
• Knowledge of rain gardens, pollinator gardens, conservation landscapes, shade gardens, drought-tolerant landscapes, or deer-resistant plantings
• Sales, consultation, customer service, or client communication experience
• Able to communicate in English and Spanish
