What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Chef position at Native Bagel Company?
Nightjar in Berea is looking to hire a Head Chef.
We started a burger & cocktail spot inside Native Bagel Company in late 2021, and are now looking to replace the head chef who has been working with us since we started. From slinging smashburgers to helping create our menu specials, this position will be a key member of our small-but-mighty kitchen crew.
We are looking for someone with solid kitchen experience who has also managed kitchen staff. Tasks include ensuring kitchen is fully prepped and ready for service each day, creating menu features, weekly ordering, delegating tasks to kitchen staff, working the line during service, and ensuring the kitchen is sparkling clean at the end of each night.
We offer a competitive salary that includes pooled tips with all staff, both FOH and BOH, a set schedule with two days off in a row, a friendly, low-drama work environment, room to be creative, and paid time off after a year of employment.
