We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Refrigeration Technician to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting refrigeration systems and mechanical equipment across various commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), refrigeration systems, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems repair. Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and repair refrigeration units, HVAC systems, and related mechanical equipment in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations
• Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs
• Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and longevity
• Conduct system inspections to identify potential issues before failures occur and recommend appropriate corrective actions
• Repair or replace mechanical components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, pumps, valves, and thermostats
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and documentation for all repairs performed
• Collaborate with property management teams to coordinate system upgrades or installations while adhering to safety standards
• Assist in the installation of new HVAC/R systems including ductwork, piping (including ammonia refrigeration), electrical wiring, and controls
• Support customer service efforts by providing professional communication and timely resolution of technical issues

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a refrigeration technician or service technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair and maintenance
• Construction experience is advantageous for understanding building infrastructure integration
• Knowledge of schematics, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, HVAC design principles, and mechanical systems repair
• Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and electrical systems related to HVAC/R equipment
• Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and hand tools
• Certification in EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations for refrigerant handling is required
• Strong mechanical knowledge of boilers, appliances, air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and property maintenance tasks
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for effective repairs
• Valid van driver's license preferred for on-site mobility; must adhere to safety protocols during transportation of equipment
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions
