The Applications Engineer provides application-level engineering support for fuel injection products throughout their lifecycle. This role acts as the primary technical link between engineering, testing, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve issues, validate performance, and ensure product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue Resolution: Investigate product performance issues, test failures, flow audits, and field incidents using Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies.
- Technical Documentation: Author and maintain formal reports, incident summaries, audit findings, and engineering updates.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, quality teams, labs, and external suppliers to maintain shipment readiness and resolve technical issues.
- Project Support: Participate in recurring engineering meetings (EPO, Gemba, program reviews) and support continuous improvement and product launch initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in application engineering, product support, or validation engineering.
- Core Skills: Strong analytical thinking, clear technical writing, and effective communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Background in automotive fuel or engine systems.
- Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and audit responses.
- Familiarity with production launches, sustaining engineering, and supplier collaboration.
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
