What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Helper Wanted - 1st shift position at National Star Services?
National Star Services is a 27-year-old facility management company providing different services all nationwide and we are now in search of Pastry Helpers to work at our location in Des Plaines, IL 60018.
Job responsibilities
- Assisted the pastry production team, chefs, and cooks in preparing and mixing pastry products.
- Work in different station such as (Fruit cutting station, economy packing station, juice station, basket station, assembling and plating food etc.)
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
- Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety tea.
- Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
Workdays: Monday - Sunday, with 2 days off during the week.
(Weekly schedule will be assigned by the supervisor).
Available shifts:
‣ 5:00 am – 1:30 pm.
‣ 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.
‣ 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Pay rate: $17.50 per hour
Bi-weekly pay
Requirements:
- Per our client’s request, Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required for this role.
- Own transportation to get to and from work.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the US.
- Must have experience working in a kitchen or manufacturing site.
- A Background check and Drug test will be conducted.
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
