What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at National Star Services?
National Star Services is a well-established facility management company with 27 years of experience, providing a wide range of services nationwide. We are currently seeking a Temp-to-Hire Forklift Operator to join our team at our location in Alsip, IL 60803.
Key Responsibilities:
· Load and unload palletized materials, including work in limited or confined spaces
· Support shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate order flow
· Process orders using the company’s computer system (training provided)
· Create, verify, and apply labels accurately to outgoing and incoming materials
· Safely operate forklift equipment in accordance with all company policies and safety procedures
· Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals
Schedule:
Monday – Friday
5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Compensation:
Starting pay rate: $17.50 per hour (Biweekly pay)
Temp-to-Hire Opportunity: After 90 days, the pay rate may increase based on reliability, and overall job performance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Bilingual (English/Spanish)
· Two valid forms of ID
· Must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S.
· Minimum 2 years of forklift operator experience
· Previous Shipping and receiving experience
· Computer savvy with the ability to learn new systems
· Reliable transportation to ensure punctuality
· Background check and drug test will be conducted
· Availability to start working as soon as possible
