What are the responsibilities and job description for the Airline Catering Quality Coordinator position at National Star Services?
National Star Services is a 27-year-old facility management company providing different services all nationwide and we are now in search of Flight Checker to work at our location in Des Plaines, IL 60018.
The Flight Checker is responsible for verifying all airline catering items, equipment, and documentation are accurate, complete, and prepared before flight departure.
Job Responsibilities
- Check meals, beverages, equipment, and supplies against flight specifications.
- Verify special meals, class setup, and catering quantities.
- Inspect carts for cleanliness, labeling, and security seals.
- Ensure flights are finalized accurately and released on time.
- Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Support aircraft swaps and last-minute operational changes.
- Follow food safety, security, and company procedures.
Schedule: MONDAY - SUNDAY
From 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM.
(2 days off in during the week, weekly schedule will be provided by supervisor).
Pay rate: $17.50 per hour.
Bi-weekly pay.
Qualifications
- Previous airline catering or logistics experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working in cold and operational environments.
Requirements:
- Per our client’s request, Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required for this role.
- Must be authorized to lawfully work in the US.
- A Background check and Drug test will be conducted.
- Must have own transportation to get to and from work.
