What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Veterinary Technician/Very Experienced Vet Assistant position at National Spay Alliance Savannah?
National Spay Alliance Savannah has been in the area for over 6 years and our requests for services grows each day. While our focus is on spay/neuter and reduction of euthanasia due to pet overpopulation, the medical side of our practice is based in grassroots community involvement and outreach. Our clinic also offers soft tissue surgery. We strive to provide the best patient care and customer service possible to the communities we serve regardless of their income status. We are looking to add a strong team member to our staff of technicians/assistants to continue to improve on our level of care. As our Technician you will work with our Clinic Manager to support our DVMs in patient care ranging from patient intake, surgical prep (including anesthesia monitoring) and calculation of anesthetic drugs, working up rooms, performing laboratory testing, to assisting clients during our walk-in hours for vaccines, routine testing and examinations.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and someone who is able to multi-task efficiently. You MUST BE COMFORTABLE CALCULATING DRUGS. You must be detailed oriented and ensure proper medical documentation. Applicants must have experience in all areas of a veterinary hospital. You will be required to perform in all departments including customer service/front desk duties.
Interested candidates will be responsible for some post-operative client communication and must be able to work independently while contributing to a larger team goal.
