Position Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Planning Manager, the Operations Support Specialist plays a critical role in coordinating communication and execution across Sales, Production, and Operations. This position supports order management, scheduling, expedites, and project timelines to ensure alignment with operational priorities and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a central point of communication between Sales, Production, and Operations to support efficient production readiness and execution.
- Review and respond to daily ship date inquiries and expedite requests from Sales and customers.
- Monitor part shortages and delays; communicate impacts across departments and coordinate updated timelines with Sales.
- Maintain and distribute the Late Order Report, ensuring accurate status updates and revised delivery commitments.
- Support new product introductions and part changeovers by tracking timelines and facilitating cross-functional communication.
- Assist in managing timelines and deliverables for large customer rollouts; provide lead time updates and status reporting to Sales.
- Assess functionality and effectiveness of MRP systems, becoming a SME within company systems and collaborating with IT, Sales, Operations, etc. to drive project-based feature improvements.
- Support production scheduling priorities in coordination with the Operations Planning Manager, adjusting plans based on business needs.
- Participate in daily and weekly cross-functional meetings as required.
- Provide backup support to the Operations Planning Manager and contribute to additional operational initiatives as needed.
- Deliver internal customer support through data analysis, issue resolution, and process improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or operations support role.
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and standard business software tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and Google Sheets; familiarity with Salesforce preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and proactively drive solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of exercising sound judgment with minimal supervision.
Hourly Range: $32.00 - $36.00
