Position Summary
The fabricator position is responsible for the machining of parts for resale to support existing egg processing machines, and for the assembly of new egg processing machines. In addition, the fabricator will aid in the assembly of the machines, crating and staging for shipping, order fulfillment, and general shop organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Create and machine parts used in the assembly of new equipment, and to support existing equipment
· Tools and equipment used to machine parts include lathe, milling machine (manual & CNC), drill press, radial arm saw, table saw, band saw, and various hand tools
· Materials being machined include aluminum, stainless steel, and various plastic product.
· Manual assembly of propriety egg processing equipment sold domestically and internationally
· Assembly methods include drilling, tapping, bolting, and welding parts together as well as installation and wiring of electrical components including motors, variable frequency drives, blowers, solenoid valves, and water heaters
· Crate machines for shipment to customers
· This involves building of wooden crates, partial dis-assembly of machines, and securing machines inside crates for safe travel to customers
· Packaging and shipping of replacement parts to customers
· Maintenance, organization, and cleanliness of work area for safety and appearance
Essential Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are the minimum skills, knowledge, and abilities required to be successful in the position.
· Must operate with a high level of integrity
· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and instructions
· Ability to operate simple machines such as lathe, milling machine (manual & CNC), drill press, radial arm saw, table saw, band saw, and various hand tools
· High attention to detail
· Critical thinking skills
· Ability to effectively communicate with team members both verbally and in writing
· Eagerness to learn
· NPE will provide job and project specific training, proficiency in the areas taught are expected within 90 days of employment
· Self-motivated
· Interest in mechanical processes and metal working
· Machine shop or manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required
Language Skills
· Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently

· Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
· Possess the ability to fulfill any shop-type activities normally expected in a material fabrication setting including moving and carrying bulky and heavy objects
· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
· Fine hand manipulation
· Basic level of mechanical aptitude

· Manufacturing floor – the noise level and hazards in this environment are high
· Hours are Monday-Friday (8:00 am - 4:30 pm)
