Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air brake issues
- Repair diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, and steering systems
- Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance standards are met
- Troubleshoot warning lights and computerized engine systems
- Complete welding and fabrication repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Respond to breakdowns or emergency repairs when necessary
- Keep shop area clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications
- Prior diesel mechanic experience preferred
- Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Experience with diagnostics software and scan tools preferred
- CDL preferred or ability to obtain one
- Welding/fabrication skills a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying conditions
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Pay: From $24.50 per hour
