Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and shipping and receiving. This role requires a strong understanding of warehousing principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to operate material handling equipment. The Warehouse Associate is expected to contribute to a safe and efficient warehouse environment, utilizing skills in order picking, packaging and labeling, and forklift operation.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and put away incoming shipments, demonstrating proficiency in shipping and receiving procedures.
- Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, safely and effectively.
- Perform inventory management tasks, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including housekeeping duties.
- Load and unload trucks, adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with palletizing and sorting of materials.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Utilize computer systems for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with delivery personnel or customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of warehousing principles and practices.
- General knowledge of inventory management techniques.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Thorough knowledge of order picking and packaging procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in the English language.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Computer literacy for data entry and inventory tracking.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with forklift truck operation.
- Familiarity with merchandising principles.
- Experience with warehouse operations.
- 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
