Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Technician, based in both NJ and Florida. The Technician will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and replacement of water, gas, and electric meters. Daily responsibilities include using various tools and equipment, ensuring proper calibration of devices, troubleshooting technical issues, and adhering to safety and operational procedures. The Technician will also maintain clear documentation of completed work, assist in managing inventory, and provide courteous interactions with customers to address their service needs effectively.
Qualifications
Proficiency in meter installation, testing, and troubleshooting for water, gas, and electric systems.
Experience with technologies such as AMR (Automated Meter Reading), AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), and related communication tools.
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including the use of basic and advanced tools.
Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Ability to work on-site and physical capability to perform tasks requiring lifting, standing, and crouching.
Experience with backflow installation and repair is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications or training in relevant fields are highly desirable.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally if needed.
