Job Summary:
Works from blueprints, work orders and verbal instructions to produce high quality welds from aluminum, May program set up and operate CNC welding machines and panel saw.

Works from blueprints, work orders and verbal instructions to produce high quality welds from aluminum, May program set up and operate CNC welding machines and panel saw.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must excel in a safety-based culture.
- ensuring that all work practices and company policies/procedures are followed.
- Must have prior CNC experience
- Ability to read digital calipers and micrometers
- Able to calculate side lengths and/or angles using trigonometric charts and tables.
- Must be able to read profile drawings.
- Demonstrate leadership and organization skills
- Demonstrate ability to produce defect-free parts.
- PLEX Control Panel for check sheets and recording production.
- Complete any form or process sheets for FSW in PLEX.
- Perform routine maintenance while reporting any major issues to a supervisor.
- Operates forklifts and Cranes.
- Will also be operating machines in the Fabrication department when production is slow in FSW.
- Maintain professional communication with supervisors and co-workers to ensure efficient and safety work operations
- Overtime as required.
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to read calipers, depth gauge and tape measure and utilize applicable measuring equipment, work instructions and control plans.
- Demonstrate ability to set up and operate equipment without supervision.
- Demonstrate ability to run equipment without breakdown and maintain productivity based on historical run times.
- Demonstrate ability to produce defect-free parts.
- Demonstrate the ability to complete all applicable paperwork associated with this job title.
- Individuals are familiar with lockout/tagout, and other safety related issues associated with this job title.

- FSW7 - Flash Removal.
- FSW9 - Friction Stir Welding Control Plan
